Not Your Grandma’s Posture Advice

MICHELE HART has been teaching ballet and dance-related exercise to adults for over 25 years. Now she offers on-site customized lecture-demonstrations for non-dancers, designed to complement ergonomic improvements in office or driving environments.

Studies have shown how damaging it is to sit for long periods. Michele uses a variety of historical, physical and humorous information to help workers counteract the atrophy of sitting, driving, or even of working while standing!

Michele explains the purpose of each movement. She demonstrates as she speaks, explaining there are necessary adjustments for individual abilities. “Plant seeds in the mind, so they grow in the body.”

The lecture-demo is followed by a Q & A. It usually runs 45 minutes plus Q&A, but can be timed to fit “Lunch & Learn”.

This is NOT an exercise or movement class;
no one will be asked to do anything!
